My name is Nikolai Clayton, and I am a junior in Building Construction. I was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. At Virginia Tech, I am a part of Army ROTC, Snow club, and the Corps of Cadets. I started in construction as a freshman in high school. My dad started flipping houses and brought me along at every opportunity. I quickly fell in love with it and decided that was what I wanted to do the rest of my life.

One thing that stood out to me about Building Construction is the paid internship opportunities every summer. In my second internship during the summer of 2022, I am making more money than ever before. On top of that, I look forward to going in for work every day and learning more about what I will be doing in the future.

My favorite things about Virginia Tech are Center Street tailgates before football games, the campus and the community environment within Building Construction.
