VCEMP Alumni Wins Prestigious CMAA Award

Pardis Pishdad-Bozorgi was recently awarded the national, prestigious 'Educator of the Year Award' by the National Construction Management Association of America. 

She earned her Ph.D. in Environmental Design and Planning and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech's VCEMP, Vecellio Construction Engineering and Management Program in 2012. She also earned a Master of Design Studies in Project Managment and Real Estate from Harvard University and a Master of Architecture from the University of Tehran. 

Pishdad-Bozorgi serves as one of the CMAA's Board of Directors' academic advisors and is also currently an assistant professor at Georgia Tech's School of Building Construction. She has also been recognized as Engineering News Record's (ENR) 2018 "Top Young Professional" of the Southeast and was nationally recognized as a "Top 20 under 40." 

She will be recognized at the October National Conference and Trade Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. There she will be acknowledged for her excellence in teaching, professional accomplishments, and committment to education.
