The Spring 2019 Design / Build Senior Capstone Project took place Thursday, May 9th in Bishop Favrao Hall. This year's Request for Proposal was for a Trinity College Academic Center with a projected cost of $40 million. This included 75-80,000 square feet of new science laboratories, health professions laboratories, classrooms of varying sizes, faculty offices, student lounges and common spaces that are “state of the art” for collegiate academic purposes. Scope of work also includes the demolition of an existing science building once the new building is completed.
The "Kanas" Team took first place and team members include Alyssa Davis, Manuel Gomez Ruotolo, Patrick Olsen, Connor Rogers, Ramzi Zico Soudi, and Chad Walmer. The "Ohio" Team took second place and team members include Justin Brown, Connor Metcalf, and Angelo Zanca. The "Oregon" Team took third place and members include David Biederman, Blake Butler, Bogdan Dragacevac, Chase Hunter, Kevin Jennings, and Matt Sompayrac. As always, all teams performed well and judging was not easy.
Thank you to the Spring 2019 Capstone Design / Build Project Industry Sponsor, Clark Construction Group (CCG). A special thank you to Max Charamella and David Tacchetti from CCG for the time spent with our students to make this project a success.
